Travel Journal: Sydney and the Blue Mountains

 12/3/2024

Today we explored the Beautiful Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney 🦘⛰️🦜

World Heritage listed and absolutely stunning this area has a lot to offer. From sweeping rainforests and dramatic mountain bluffs with some gorgeous hikes, to cute mountain towns with restaurants and shopping there is something for everyone!

We took a tour that allowed us to enjoy the Featherdale Wildlife Park and love on their animals that are all rescued and part of their conservation efforts. We got to have lunch in the cute little town of Leura and then from there we got to go to “Scenic World” a very great way to get an all around visit in. They have The World's Steepest Railway and Iconic cable car views of the mountains that take you down to access to hikes, Rainforest Boardwalks, and Dinosaur Valley. I can promise you though the ride is short, riding the railway backwards straight up a mountain is definitely an experience 😳

The unique (and adorable) wildlife and exploring rainforests has seriously been one of our top favorite things to do in Australia. This country has flora and fauna you won’t find anywhere else in the world and you could spend years trying to explore it all!

We ended the day taking one of Sydney’s super easy ferry’s back into Sydney Harbor and it was a perfect end to our last day with anything booked. Aside from the easy and affordable trains and buses all over Sydney their water taxis and shuttles are another fantastic way to get around, while also taking in more scenery along the way. We have 2 more days to just enjoy Sydney before we end this journey and head home we are ready.. but also not ♥️🦘🦘
